A
Country Garden In The Town |
Plants rule
in this garden. High brick walls are clad
with climbing roses, clematis and unusual
plants which benefit from the shelter of the
separate areas. A cosy eating place has a
grey olive tree, splashing water into a brick
trough and a little summer house made from
an old garden shed. A false door gives a dull
wall character and lush planting with tightly
packed plants brings colour and interest all
the year.
The whole garden is alive with busy insects
in the summer, pollinating the fragrant lavenders
and a wide variety of birds nest among the
profusion. It is hard to imagine this garden
lies amongst busy streets and concrete pavements.
